Rover Dramawerks is pleased to present the classic farce Who Was That Lady I Saw You With? by Norman Krasna at their new theatre venue in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances are July 31 – August 23, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., plus an additional matinee performance on Saturday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m.
Assistant chemistry professor David Williams (played by Jack Piland) is caught kissing another woman by his wife Ann (played by Keila Lorenc) and she threatens divorce. With the help of his best friend Mike (Jack Shanahan) and a props guy from CBS television (Kevin Fuld), David concocts the story that he is an FBI agent and it was all in the line of duty! Through a juxtaposition of unfortunate events, David and Mike end up being chased by real spies (Fuld and Yusuf Yildiz) and FBI agents (J.R. Bradford, Steve Roberts, and Cynthia Beene). The hilarious plot also involves a pair of singing sisters (Melissa Torres and Veronica Day), an unsuspecting Chinese restaurant owner (Yildiz), a fellow agent from the CIA (Janette Oswald)…and the basement of the Empire State Building.
Rover’s Artistic Director Carol M. Rice serves as director, with Clint Prentice as Stage Manager. Set design is by Kaori Imai with lighting design by Brooks Powers and sound design by Jason Rice. Costumes and hair/makeup design are by Shanna Gobin, and props are by Lindsey Humphries. Fight choreography is by Joseph Taylor.
